A Showcase of Emerging Architectural Ideas

Indonesia Design District (IDD) proudly hosted ANANTARA, an architectural exhibition presented by the Department of Architecture, Universitas Tarumanagara (UNTAR), from 21–26 July 2026 at the Town Hall, Indonesia Design District, PIK 2.

Bringing together students, academics, practitioners, and the public, ANANTARA became a platform to celebrate architectural ideas, creativity, and collaboration through a week-long series of exhibitions, discussions, and interactive programs. The event reflected UNTAR Architecture's commitment to encouraging innovation while fostering meaningful conversations around architecture and the built environment.

The event officially commenced with an Opening Ceremony on 21 July, marking the beginning of six days of exhibitions and installations featuring student works, design explorations, and spatial installations. Throughout the exhibition period, visitors were invited to experience various architectural concepts and creative interpretations that demonstrated the diversity of ideas developed by UNTAR Architecture students.

In addition to the exhibition, ANANTARA featured several supporting programs that enriched the visitor experience. On 23 July, the PE 8.41 Jury Session highlighted students' design presentations and evaluations. This was followed by Illumarta on 25 July, an artistic showcase combining light, installation, and spatial expression. The event concluded on 26 July with ArchiTalk 1.0, an inspiring discussion featuring architecture professionals and academics, before officially closing with the Closing Ceremony, celebrating the successful completion of the event.

As a hub for design, architecture, and creative industries, Indonesia Design District remains committed to providing a platform where educational institutions, professionals, and emerging designers can connect, collaborate, and inspire one another. ANANTARA demonstrates how academic initiatives can engage the wider public while contributing to Indonesia's growing design ecosystem.
