Exploring Leather, Craft in Contemporary Design
The Leather Edit offers a concise yet immersive look at how a classic material continues to evolve within contemporary design
The Leather Edit: Exploring Material, Craft, and Modern Living
From April 10–19, 2026, Indonesia Design District presents The Leather Edit—a curated program that brings leather into focus as a versatile material in today’s design landscape. Set within the PIK2 area, the program highlights how leather continues to shape contemporary living through craftsmanship and innovation.
Featuring brands such as Malinda, Magran, Elmirai, and BIKA, the showcase spans a range of applications—from furniture to lifestyle pieces. Each presents a distinct approach, reflecting how leather adapts across different design perspectives while maintaining its timeless character.
Complementing the exhibition, Leather Talk sessions invite visitors to gain insights into the material’s process and potential, while the Design & Architect Gathering opens conversations on its role in interior and spatial design.
With additional hands-on workshops, visitors are encouraged to experience leather beyond observation—engaging directly with its textures, techniques, and craftsmanship.
