Indonesia is redefining its role in the global design landscape. At Salone del Mobile.Milano 2026, Indonesia Design District (IDD) PIK2 presents the IDD Pavilion under the theme House of Indonesia, running from April 21–26.

Designed by Santi Alaysius of Domisilium Studio and curated by Alvin Tjitrowirjo, the pavilion introduces Beyond Making—a concept that positions Indonesia not just as a manufacturing base, but as a collaborative design ecosystem.

At its core is Material of Indonesia, showcasing engineered wood, woven elements, and custom metalwork as a reflection of the country’s strength in combining heritage, innovation, and performance. Rather than highlighting individual brands, the pavilion emphasizes collaboration—bringing together designers, manufacturers, and material specialists into one cohesive system aligned with global project standards.

Supported by institutions including the Ministry of Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia and Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, the initiative also extends to emerging talents at SaloneSatellite, featuring Cyntia Margareth, Zulyo Kumara, and Studio Banda.
