Bluscape x IDD Insight Trip : Young Minds Exploring Design at IDD

13 December, Indonesia Design District (IDD) welcomed Bluscape for the IDD Insight Trip,

a curated visit offering insights into design, materials, and craftsmanship across IDD’s

showrooms. Bluscape itself is a youth-led community with a shared interest for the built

environment, ranging from architecture and civil engineering to urban planning. Bluscape

members explored IDD not just as visitors, but as curious learners connecting with materials,

spaces, and the stories behind them.

The journey began at the Viro showroom, where participants were introduced to

sustainable tropical architecture materials and gained insights into how innovation and

environmental responsibility are translated into architectural solutions. The experience

continued at Singres, becoming more hands-on as brand representatives guided participants

through the materials, allowing them to touch, feel, and better understand the textures,

finishes, and character of each surface.

At fredhelligh, the trip shifted into a more sensory and exploratory experience. As a

one-stop destination for well-designed, functional, and environmentally sustainable

household products, the showroom encouraged participants to browse freely and experience

selected items firsthand, including the osmanthus soap. The journey then continued to TACO,

where deeper product insights were shared and samples were provided, before moving on to

AlvinT for a closer look at the brand’s design approach and creative process. The final stop

was Luar Living, where participants explored outdoor living pieces that make bold yet

refined design statements for exterior spaces.

The day concluded at the Christmas tree in the Thamrin area, marking the end of a

day filled with design exploration, material discovery, and meaningful insights across IDD.
