Indonesia Contemporary Art and Design (ICAD) returns with an exhibition titled ICAD by the Bay 2024, which runs from October 26 to November 17, 2024 at Market Hall, Indonesia Design District (IDD) PIK 2. The exhibition collaborates with IDD to showcase curated artworks and designs from contemporary Indonesian artists and designers, with the aim of making it easier for the public to collect artworks at more affordable prices.
This year, the theme of the exhibition is UNEXPECTED, which explores how artists interpret the unique aspects of everyday life through their creative imagination. The artists and designers strive to illuminate the unexpected dimensions of life, transforming ordinary objects and experiences into works of art that challenge our perceptions.
Multiple Exhibition Zones and Exciting Programs
ICAD by the Bay is divided into several exciting zones, including:
- Art for Everyone: Featuring paintings and sculptures.
- Art Under the Sun: Featuring outdoor sculptures.
- Living with Art: Combining well-known furniture brands with works of art.
- Stage Installation: A collaboration between Vecho materials and artist Muhammad Iqbal.
- Pop Up: Selling curated art products.
The exhibition also collaborates with the Association of Indonesian Fine Art Galleries (AGSI), which presents contemporary artworks from renowned artists represented by leading galleries in Indonesia.
During the exhibition, visitors can enjoy various programs, such as discussions, workshops, and special visits for collector groups and educational institutions.

ICAD by the Bay 2024 features works from over 40 contemporary artists and designers, including Bugis Rafiani Nasution, Dinah Priambodo Subandinah, Eddi Prabandono, Hedi Hariyanto, Iwan Effendi, and many more. In addition, various Pop Up tenants also enlivened the event with curated products such as accessories, clothing, and handicrafts.

Some of the art galleries involved in this exhibition include Andis Gallery, Art Serpong Gallery, Artsphere Gallery, and CGartspace. Meanwhile, several well-known furniture brands such as Djalin, Rifyo, PRIVE, and Saniharto also participated in showcasing their innovative products.
