Local Creators and Artisans Gather at Artisan Alley
A curated space at Lobby Mandapa showcasing creative ideas, local craftsmanship, and unique creations from independent makers during Indonesia Design Week 2026.
Artisan Alley takes place at Lobby Mandapa, Indonesia Design District (IDD), PIK 2, as part of the official program for Indonesia Design Week (IDW) 2026. Designed as a lively platform for creative expression, this space brings together a diverse collective of independent local artisans, artists, and small-scale makers from across the region.
Rather than just a traditional marketplace, Artisan Alley celebrates the personal journeys and creative processes behind each participating brand. Every setup reflects a distinct design perspective, where local craftsmanship meets modern artistic vision. The initiative highlights how individual creators translate their personal stories, cultural roots, and creative ideas into meaningful work.
By creating a direct connection between makers and the public, the space encourages visitors to engage with the local design community on a deeper level. Visitors attending IDW 2026 can stroll through Lobby Mandapa, meet the creators in person, and experience the passion that drives Indonesia’s evolving landscape of art and design.
