Press Conference Indonesia Design Week 2026

A shared space for exchange, collaboration, and new possibilities to connect local and global voices across Indonesia’s growing design landscape

Indonesia Design Week (IDW) 2026 officially announced its upcoming edition through a press conference held on 18 September 2026 at MM Galleri, marking an important step in the festival’s continued growth.

Held from 18–27 September 2026, IDW 2026 carries the overarching theme “The Collective Culture” and introduces the debut of the first-ever SaloneSatellite Permanent Collection Exhibition in Indonesia, featuring a curated selection of 55 works that bring together diverse perspectives in contemporary design.

This year, IDW expands beyond its home base at Indonesia Design District (IDD) PIK2, extending its programme across key commercial destinations throughout PIK, including Pantjoran PIK, Central Market, By The Sea, Batavia PIK, Land’s End PIK2, and Orange Groves.

The expansion reflects IDW’s vision to grow beyond a localized design showcase into a wider creative festival one that connects design, culture, creative communities, and public spaces across districts and, ultimately, cities.

With its broader footprint and international presence, IDW 2026 marks a new chapter for Indonesia’s design landscape, creating more opportunities for ideas, collaborations, and creative exchange to come together.
